Artificial Boxwood is a small (15.5 inch by 23 inch by 1 inch) panel of pliable plastic imitating lifelike boxwood hedge. The panels are dense foliage, you cannot see through them, and they shape to any contour or curve you may want to apply them to. This allows for wide creative design applications. The panels are backed with an open grid allowing for pass through of air and water, which will increase the life span of the mat due to the lack of buildup of any foreign materials that might degrade the mats.

Using the Artificial Boxwood in Crafting
Applying the mats is actually quite easy. If you want to get very detailed about it, you can use a pair of large utility scissors, which will be very good for cutting the exact edges you want as you apply the mats to your surface. You also can use a standard utility knife, as the product cuts very easily.
You will want to lay a mat on the shape you are desiring to cover. If its a flat surface, it’s as easy as matching up your edges and securing the product with adhesive or staples. Construction adhesives can be purchased from most local hardware stores and applied with a caulk gun, making the process quick and clean.
If you are covering rounded surfaces, a tip is to lay your mat as you would like it, and where it bunches up, allow the “fold” to rise where it naturally wants to. Cut the “Ridge of the fold first, all the way to the logical center of the ridge point. Allow the cut you just made to fold over itself now, and it doesn’t matter which side overlaps to the top.
Next, make a cut through both layers of the matting, following the same course as the ridge cut to the edge of the mat. Pull away the 2 pieces you just shaped away and your remaining mat will fall together on your shape exactly as you would want it to shape to your surface.
We will add a video here soon to show the process.
